Terms of use

Skillspace is an index. We find public AI-agent skills, rate them, and link to where they live.

These terms cover the website at skillspace.sh and the MCP server at mcp.skillspace.sh (together, "Skillspace"), operated by XY Space Inc., Ontario, Canada ("we"). By using Skillspace you accept them. If you use it for an organization, you accept them for that organization.

What Skillspace is

We index skills that are publicly available on GitHub and link to their source. We do not host, copy, distribute, modify or sell any skill.
Every skill is written and licensed by its own author. Its licence, not these terms, governs how you may use it.
We are not affiliated with the authors of the skills we list, and a listing is not an endorsement. Names and marks belong to their owners.
Links take you to sites we don't control, such as GitHub. Their terms apply there.

Our ratings are opinions

Grades, scores, safety verdicts, reviews and rankings are Skillspace's opinion. We produce them with automated analysis and AI models, from a snapshot of each skill, and they can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. They are not a warranty, certification, security audit or professional advice, and you should not rely on them as one. A skill we rate highly can still be wrong or unsafe for your use, and a skill we rate poorly can be fine.

Third-party skills run at your own risk

A skill is instructions, and sometimes code, written by someone else. Your agent runs it with your agent's permissions. Read a skill before you install it, and don't run anything you don't understand. We are not responsible for what a third-party skill does.

Using Skillspace

You may browse, link to and share any page. Search engines and AI answer engines may crawl and index every public page under our robots.txt. You must not:

interfere with or disrupt the service, or try to break its security. Report vulnerabilities to us instead (see below);
work around rate limits or other controls, for example by rotating addresses or accounts;
use the MCP server, or any automated means, to copy the catalogue or our ratings in bulk, or to build a competing index or dataset;
imply that we endorse you or your product, or use Skillspace in breach of any law.

The MCP server

The MCP server is free to use from any agent, within its limits: 20 requests a minute and 1,000 a day per client. AI-assisted ranking has a shared daily budget; past it, results are ranked by text match. We may change the limits, block traffic that harms the service or its users, or suspend the server, with or without notice.

Our content

Our ratings, reviews, categories and the way we compile them are owned by XY Space Inc. You may quote an individual rating or review with attribution to Skillspace and a link to its page. Don't copy them in bulk.

Corrections, removal and copyright

If you wrote a skill and think we got it wrong, or you want it removed from the index, email info@xyspace.dev with the page's address. We read every request. If you believe something on Skillspace infringes your copyright, send the same address a notice that identifies the work, the page, your contact details and the basis of your claim, and we will respond.

Security

Please report security problems to info@xyspace.dev instead of testing them against the live service. We won't pursue good-faith reports that stay within normal use.

Privacy

What we record, and why, is described on the privacy page.

No warranty

Skillspace is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, XY Space Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Skillspace or of any skill listed on it. Our total liability for any claim about Skillspace is limited to CAD $100.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify XY Space Inc. against claims, losses and costs arising from your misuse of Skillspace or your breach of these terms.

Changes

We may change Skillspace or these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and using Skillspace after a change means you accept it.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about Skillspace.
